Collagen Loss and Aging – Why Do I Feel or Look So Old?
July 22, 2025 @ 9:30 AM - 11:00 AM
Collagen is the most abundant protein in our body. For example, it makes up 80-85% of heart connective tissues and 50-60% of blood vessels. But as adults age, they can gradually lose an accumulated large amount. In fact, many people lose upwards of 40% to 50% by ages 50-55 … and even more in their 60s, 70s and 80s … without even knowing. How does this relate to major diseases as well as harm our organs and body parts?
We invite those who are curious to attend a relaxed, learn the basics, 90-minute presentation by our local scientist, Steven Clarke, entitled: “Collagen Loss and Aging – Why Do I Feel or Look So Old?” with audience Q & A. It is scheduled for Tuesday, July 22 from 9:30 to 11:00 a.m. in Rio Vista. Seating is limited to 20. Please email Tom Watson via tomzoot@gmail.com to reserve 1 or 2 seats for yourself and/or a spouse/partner/friend/loved one.
There’s a lot of sales hype and misinformation out there. Ads and commercials are all over the internet and YouTube. Many claims are inaccurate and exaggerated to get consumers to make a quick purchase before doing thorough research. Sadly, most people buy a collagen product without fully understanding how it may or may not work.
The Trilogy AWS Club with Steven and Tina Clarke would like to help our neighbors get accurate, up-to-date knowledge about collagen. To make it a fun experience for all, a 65-inch HDTV along with disabled access and seating will be provided. The location is a corner home in Trilogy with ample side parking at 500 Sugar Creek Lane, Rio Vista, CA, 94571
